CATCH & RELEASE
All fish are to be banked as soon as possible to avoid overplaying.
Always wet hands before touching a fish.
Debarbed or barbless hooks must be used.
Carry forceps or unhooking tool.
Under no circumstances are fish to be removed from the water - gravity puts a tremendous strain on the internal organs of a fish when it is removed from the water, this more often than not results in fatalities.
If deeply hooked cut leader as close to hook as possible.
Always support fish and wait until it is revived, move back and forward gently until it swims off.
If in doubt about any of the above get fishery staff to assist.
